These are the various items and resources you will be able to collect as you progress through the game:

List of Items[]

Name Item Description

Food[]

Used to level up and upgrade heroes.

Gold[]

The most versatile resource in the game. Used to level up heroes, purchase additional items in the Shop and Adventure Shop, upgrade talismans and equipment, etc.

Power Stones[]

An important early-game resource, Power Stones are particularly used to rank up your heroes, especially when upgrading them to a higher star ranking.

Gems[]

Gems are by far the most valuable resource in the game. Like many other mobile games, Gems are a premium commodity that can be obtained as an in-app purchase, and they can be used as a "fast pass" for almost anything in the game: Expanding your hero storage capacity, fast-forwarding building/wait times for refreshes, purchasing high-end items in the Shop, etc.

Free Gems are given to players every day! They are rewarded as a Calendar login bonus, offered as rewards for completing your Daily Missions, and are given as a general freebie (x100 every 24 hours). They are also awarded for completing various Game Achievements. Moreover, you can obtain them through completing Campaigns/Adventures, winning Raid Chests/trophy achievements, and by spinning the Super Fortune Teller wheel.

The most value you get from using Gems has been through the Precious Gems event. The rewards you get from this event give you the best bang for your buck in terms of game progression. For more information, please visit the Events page.

Essence[]

Essence is mainly used to upgrade and/or convert Talismans for your heroes. You can find essence by completing Campaign/Adventure missions, winning Raid chests, or through the Lucky Talismans event.

Basic Summoning Scroll[]

Basic Summoning Scrolls are used at the Summon Gate and can get you any hero between 1★ to 5★. You mostly get these kind of scrolls in early-game levels as completion rewards, and can also buy them from the Shop. However, the summoning odds for any useful heroes are very poor, and it's almost never worth the effort.

Using a Basic Summoning Scroll is also a Daily Mission; luckily for us, the game offers a free Basic Summon every 8 hours! For more information on Basic Summon odds, please visit the Summoning Gate page.

Royal Summoning Scroll[]

The Royal Summoning Scroll is one of the most common items in the game, and is used to summon heroes from 3★ to 5★.

A few Royal Summoning Scrolls are are given as a Calendar Login Bonus. These scrolls are also commonly offered as Campaign level rewards, Raid chests/trophy achievements, and event rewards. You can also purchase these scrolls from the Shop and Adventure Shop - however, given their current prices and odds as compared to Summoning Spheres, it's almost never worth it to go for these.

Like the Basic Summon, doing a Royal Summon is also a Daily Mission that you can complete; however, free Royal Summons are only offered once every 2 days.

The Royal Summons event encourages the use of Royal Summoning Scrolls in order to earn their event rewards; however, because the completion requirement is so high, it is generally not a good idea to go for this event. For more information about the Royal Summons event, please visit the Events page.

Summoning Spheres[]

Endearingly known as the "orb", Summoning Spheres are one of the most valuable items in the game. They are used at the Elemental Gate to summon heroes that are either 4★ or 5★, and can also produce random hero shards, as well as Magic Dust for the Laboratory.

Summoning Spheres have the best odds of any summoning item for getting high-end heroes, and when you use them, you also have the option to choose which Element of hero that you'd like to summon.

You will often see Summoning Spheres offered as mid-level event rewards. You can also purchase the orbs from the Shop and Adventure Shop, earn them through Raid chests, and also as a trophy achievement award (only in the Master League). There's also a chance they will appear as a reward for the Super Fortune Teller wheel.

Magic Dust[]

Used only in the Laboratory, Magic Dust is a useful resource that can help you find that one specific hero you need to build the perfect team. You can earn some Magic Dust by completing Campaign missions, as trophy achievement rewards, and also in Raid chests. More information about Magic Dust costs can be found on the Laboratory page.

Magic Dust is also a common drop when using Summoning Spheres at the Elemental Gate - a small quantity is usually dropped along with any hero shards that are gained from an orb summon.

Wishing Tokens[]

These Wishing Tokens are used at the Fortune Teller tent in order to spin the wheel for prizes. They are also important for completing your Daily Missions - one of them requires you to spin the wheel at least TWICE each day. To complete this, you are able to obtain x2 FREE Wishing Tokens by completing the "collect free gold" daily mission.

You can also purchase 8 tokens for 240 gems in the Shop every day. Wishing Tokens are also awarded by completing missions and winning Raid chests.

Moreover, these tokens are specifically used for the Fortune Teller event, which occurs every 3-4 weeks or so. Please note that these are the only tokens that will be used towards the event; Super Wishing Token spins do not count.

Super Wishing Tokens[]

Super Wishing Tokens are the premium version of the normal one, and these allow you to spin the Super Fortune Teller wheel. Prizes on this wheel are significantly better, such as 1.2 mil Gold spaces, Summoning Spheres, and hero shards for Exclusive heroes.

Please note, these tokens CANNOT be used during the Fortune Teller event.

Fortune Coins[]

Fortune Coins are used in the Fortune Shop, located on the bottom-right corner of the Fortune Teller screen. With Fortune Coins, you can purchase Purple equipment, or even a featured Epic hero.

These coins are exclusively awarded through performing spins with Wishing Tokens at the Fortune Teller tent. You are awarded 10 Fortune Coins for each spin; if you choose the x10 spin option, you earn 100 Fortune Coins but at the cost of only 8 Wishing Tokens.

Please note, Fortune Coins CANNOT be earned by spinning the Super Fortune Teller Wheel.

Raid bottle[]

The Raid bottles are used to replenish Raid energy, up to 6 times. Raid bottles can be purchased from the Shop for 600K Gold, and for 80 gems. You can also earn Raid bottles as a Raid chest reward, or a Fortune Teller wheel prize. Raid bottles are very useful for completing the Fighters' Competition event.

Giant bottle[]

Giant bottles can be used to fully replenish Giant energy, giving you additional attacks to help your clan bring down Giants.

Talent Points[]

Talent Points are used to upgrade heroes' skills in their Skill Tree:

Common Talent Points: Earned by defeating 1★ to 5⁥★ Giants.

Legendary Talent Points: Earned by defeating 6★ to 7⁥★ Giants.

Exclusive Talent Points: Earned by defeating 8★ to 10⁥★ Giants.

The number of talent points you earn depend on the amount of damage you do as an individual, the amount of times you hit the Giant's critical spots, the rank level of the Giant, etc.

Legendary and Exclusive Talent points can be traded in 1:1 to obtain Common Talent Points (which is an awful trade-in value ratio in my opinion); however you cannot trade upwards.

Clan Coins[]

Clan Coins are a rare commodity that can only be used in the Clan Shop, where you can purchase high-end heroes, equipment, and Art of War books for each Hero Class.

You can earn Clan Coins by attacking Giants and participating in Clan Wars. Of course, the rewards are significantly greater if you are able to defeat a Giant or win a Clan War.

Of note, it is currently not possible to buy extra Clan Coins as an in-app purchase. Instead, the top reward for the Precious Gems event offers 25,000 Clan Coins + other items, if you trade in 6,000 Gems. The limited nature of Clan Coins makes this deal the best "bang for your buck," so to speak, and should be a top priority for any player who's looking to get stronger.

Art of War books[]

Art of War books are available for all 5 Hero Classes in Puzzle Breakers. These are used in the War Academy, where you can upgrade 8 combat arts for each class. These upgrades give all of your current and future heroes of that class a PERMANENT boost in specific stats for attack, defense, and health.

You can only earn Art of War books by participating in Clan Wars, which make these a particularly difficult item to collect. Otherwise, you may purchase them from the Clan Shop with Clan Coins.

Tavern Coins[]

Tavern Coins are a resource that is gained only by dismissing heroes from your Hero Inventory. In addition to Food, Gold, previously equipped equipment, and other resources, the amount of Tavern Coins you get from dismissing a hero will depend on their ★ rank: 3⁥⁥★ = 10 Tavern Coins, 4★ = 25 Tavern Coins, and 5⁥؅★ = 250 Tavern Coins.

These coins can then be used in the Tavern Shop to purchase a wide variety of other heroes from almost every Hero Quality; even Exclusive.

The Tavern Magic event encourages the dismissing of heroes in order to give you rewards + discounted prices on purchasing heroes from the Tavern Shop. However, unless you are very close to having enough Tavern Coins for someone that you want, it is generally understood by the community that this is not one of the game's most worthwhile events.

Check out the Tavern Shop page for more information.

Event Coins[]

Event Coins are the hardest item to obtain in the game, because they cannot be purchased or earned as a reward by any means. The only way you can collect Event Coins are by completing Game Events, typically as the top reward for that event.

Event Coins are used to purchase high-end heroes from the Event Shop.

Giant Shards[]

Giant Shards are only obtained by battling a Giant with a Sworn Enemy hero for that Giant. These unique shards are used to upgrade the Passive Skills of any hero in their Skill Tree.

For more information on the Giants that these Giant Shards belong to (and how to get them), please visit the Giants page.

Training Dummies[]

New item as part of the 9.0 update, Training Dummies can be used in-place of actual hero sacrifices during Hero Fusions. These dummies are available for each element (or rainbow) as 5★, 6★, and 9★ rank levels.

Currently, the only way to obtain one of these Trainer Dummies is by winning as a Top-10 finisher in a Tournament.

Chests[]

As of the 9.0 update, there are 6 item Chests available in the game:
  1. Hero Chest: Obtained only through buying one of the Weekly Sales as an in-app purchase. Allows you to select any 3★ hero of your choice.
  2. Mighty Hero Chest: Obtained as the top reward in the Fallen Star event. Allows you to select any Legendary or Mythic hero of your choice.
  3. Trainer Chest: A trainer chest can only be obtained by getting 1st Place in a Tournament (brand-new game mode from the 9.0 update). This chest will contain a combination of Training Dummies as a prize.
  4. Talent Point Chest: These chests are awarded as Event prizes, or you can buy them as an in-app Rare Sales purchase during the Talent Contest event. Talent Point Chests give you the option of selecting x1000 Talent Points: Common, Legendary, or Exclusive.
  5. Special Equipment Chest: Special Equipment Chests are only offered as the top reward during the Great Anvil Event, and it allows you to choose from one of 5 Special Equipment sets - Destroyer, Annihilator, Tyrant, Oracle, and Guardian. For more information about these Special Equipment sets, please visit the Equipment page.
  6. War Book Chest: Offered only as a top in-app purchase (under Weekly Packs), the War Book Chest will give you 5,000 Art of War books for EACH HERO CLASS - 25,000 books in total. For more information on Art of War books and their use, please visit the War Academy page.
