In Puzzle Breakers, your Heroes are the stars of the game - they represent a certain hero class, rune element, and perform special abilities that aid you in combat!

Hero Catalog[]

Available from the very beginning, this catalog is your best friend throughout the entirety of your playing time.

The catalog shows you every hero in the game (whether you've already summoned them or not), lists them based on their quality, and provides info regarding their max-level stats and their abilities. It's also convenient because the catalog shows you how many heroes are in each quality, which can be useful in determining odds for summoning, or when a hero may show up as an event reward, etc.

Star Ranking of Heroes[]

A hero's Star Rank is an indicator of its level and statistical strength, as well as its Quality. It is important to understand that the highest star rankings can only be attained by specific Hero Quality tiers.

In the game, Star Ranks are represented in the following manner (we'll hope to have the actual game art on here as we further develop this wiki page):

  • 1 to 5-star ranks: ★, ★★, ★★★, ★★★★, ★★★★★
  • 6-star rank: one red ★
  • 7-star rank: two red ★★
  • 8-star rank: three red ★★★
  • 9-star rank: four red ★★★★
  • 10-star rank: one gold ★

Heroes of any rank and quality can always start at level 1, but it is the Star Rank which determines the maximum level the hero can attain. As shown in the table below, a hero's quality indicates the highest Star Rank it can achieve (and therefore its maximum level):

Star Rank Max Level Hero Quality
1★ 40 Common
2★ 50 Common
3★ 60 Uncommon, Rare
4★ 80 Uncommon, Rare
5★ 100 Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Exclusive
6★ 140 Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Exclusive
7★ 160 Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Exclusive
8★ 180 Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Exclusive
9★ 200 Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Exclusive
10★ 250 Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Exclusive

Hero Quality[]

There are 109 total heroes in the game so far, all belonging to a unique quality:

Every hero has value! Take the time to read and learn what their abilities do, and get creative! Many of them are super useful, even against higher level opponents.

Common[]

Heroes of this quality are capped at the 1★ and 2★ rank; they don't go any higher than that. These are the ones you'll mostly see at the very beginning of the game, and unfortunately are ones that you'll quickly move on from, as you progress and obtain stronger heroes for your team.

How to obtain them:

  • Basic Summon Scrolls
  • Early-game campaigns

Uncommon[]

Despite the name, these are actually the most common heroes you'll find through summons - whether by scrolls, random hero shards, or summoning spheres. Heroes of this quality can have a rank from 3★ to 5★, meaning they can attain level 100, which is where most of your time will be spent as you progress through the game.

How to obtain them:

  • Royal Summon Scrolls
  • Summoning Spheres
  • hero shards from the Adventures/Campaign/raid chests/shops
  • laboratory swap

Rare[]

Similar ranking as uncommon heroes (3★ to 5★), but has the benefit of leveling up to 200 via hero fusion! After the 5★ rank: one red star = 6★ rank, two red stars = 7★ rank, three red stars = 8★ rank, and four red stars = 9★ rank.

How to obtain them:

  • Royal Summon Scrolls
  • Summoning Spheres
  • hero shards from the Adventures/Campaign/raid chests/shops
  • laboratory swap

Epic[]

The rank of these heroes range from 5★ to 10★. From this quality on up, heroes can achieve the MAXIMUM level the game allows (gold star = 10★ rank).

  • Prize on the Fortune Teller wheel
  • Royal Summon Scrolls
  • Summoning Spheres
  • hero shards from the Adventures/Campaign/raid chests/shops
  • laboratory swap
